The Care You Deserve, from the Comfort of your Home
The Dara Knot is a representation of the intricate and firmly grounded root system of the oak tree, symbolizing a foundation of inner-strength, growth, resiliency and courage. It reminds us of our own potential for growth and development that is often unrealized.
At The Dara Counseling Center, we understand that during periods of our life that may be challenging, we often need support to help find our own strength in order to grow and persevere.
We offer a collaborative, empathetic, strengths-based approach to best meet the needs of each unique person, and we're committed to providing you and your loved ones the tools and skills necessary to be the best version of yourselves to lead more fulfilling lives.
By focusing on your own inner strengths coupled with evidence-based techniques, we can help you gain a deeper understanding of the root causes of your stressors to help you learn new ways to manage these challenges.
Finding a therapist that you can trust and feel comfortable with is essential in therapy. My approach is collaborative, warm, and engaging. Whether you are coming to therapy in response to unexpected life changes, seeking assistance on how to manage challenging thoughts, feelings or behaviors, or you are seeking self-exploration and personal growth, my goal is to support you along each step of that process. I frequently collaborate with other doctors, schools, and family members to offer a more comprehensive, individualized approach to treatment, all designed to help you realize your best self, at your pace.
I maintain a small private practice in order to ensure a high level of attention to each individual.
I have extensive experience providing psychotherapy services in a variety of settings including private practice, hospitals, outpatient programs, and integrated primary care for individuals throughout all stages of life. I use an integrative approach in therapy strongly rooted in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to treat a range of concerns including anxiety and stress-related disorders, depression, ADHD, adjustment to life transitions (e.g. school, college, parenting, retirement, relationships), and sleep concerns.
Dr. Dumpert is licensed to practice in both New Jersey and New York.
